Our hero this week is Mary Anning.
Mary Anning was English Paleontologist. A paleontologist is a scientist who studies fossil. Mary Anning was proactive. Proactive means think and plan ahead. She was proactive by finding ways to solve problems to make life easier.
Despite poverty and lack of formal education, Marry Anning taught herself, studied diligently and became the most knowledgable paleontologist of her day.
We learn to be proactive too in our SEL lesson. We learn that there is always something we can do in spite of whatever we face.
